Part of me also dies when I see all the willful blindness and the societal enthusiasm for somnambulant "groupthink" which is so pervasive today. Thankfully we have brave, coherent experts like you who remain devoted to real science and Veritas – no matter what – and who retain the grace to share it via these wonderful Substacks. Without devotion to facts, data and critical analysis, science falls away and takes civilization down with it. If we do survive as a civilization and a species, it will be because of intellectual work like this.

I noted your last comment lamenting that it would be great to have an ethical scientist present in front of Congress. Do you think they really want that? It always makes me wonder how many in Congress are influenced by money from Big Pharma and others who would benefit from obfuscation.

Mate, all I can say is that you need to reach out to Senators, members of Congress running this investigation/hearing.

Get in front of the Hearing, talk to Dr Robert Malone, he’ll arrange it, reach out to him, Jessica Rose, they have the direct access, co-opt other like minded scientists like yourself who can critically acclaim and debunk this nonsense, the lies, light needs shone upon this filth, I’m no scientist, have subscribed to your stack, read your essays and I understand the content.

The world is crying out to be able to regain a lost trust in science, our science, humanity needs, nay, demands it… I know as you opine, that you don’t want to be spending your life doing this, likewise many do not want their lives, or that which remains, struggling to live, to nurse family, friends and loved ones because of the outcomes of this science, this Mengelesque work, who’d have thought that we would be here, end up here.. 2024, as if in a bad James Bond movie dealing the aftermath and consequence of a rogue scientist, scientists, everyone involved in this dystopian nightmare regardless of level, have a role to play, to put right and to correct a massive wrong, well, here we are, dealing with such an aftermath.. a true as noted dystopian nightmare.

My advice and five cents worth for what value it might be considered… grow a pair, if you haven’t already appeared before a hearing to refute and to be of assistance and an aide to those elected representatives trying to do the right thing, to ensure these criminals are caught, that a real and bright light disinfects this odious construct, holds accountable those needed to be held to account… then I say now is the time, long overdue in fact that you do the right thing and reach out, that you coalesce with others like you… qualified to refute and put right this wrong…

Either that or words mean nothing, nice to read, to be educated by said words and to be bought up to date, but mate, whoopee, big deal, nothing to gain from it save your ausaging any guilt any role however minor you played in enabling this…

I read in your narrative that they changed a word, no pushback, none from you, you considered doing so, but then, aw shucks, what the hell, let it slide, it’s not a hill worth dying on, well, what a f….n difference a word makes, more fool you….

Time to fight mate, to scrap it out, that is what we need, what is cried out for, for people, who were there, who are well qualified, eminently so to get into this fight, otherwise it’s all meaningless, like I said nice to have, but at the end of it, it’s cowardice, flight instead of fight, scuttling around trying to save whatever vestige of what you think passes for decency, whatever shred is left within, harsh words yes, but I’m not holding back, not mincing my words, why should I, you and others involved have taken so much from humanity… you haven’t added to humanity, whatever might have been added from past endeavour blown in your face, with this act, barbarous, inhumane, I think of those who vaccinated because of this “science” lives and health ruined, the many needless deaths, those who were ordered to die alone, intubated unnecessarily and died from the filth that the vaccine, remdesivir protocol caused…

So what exactly has the contribution by those involved in this nightmare been to humanity, remind me again… what has it gained humanity who collectively have all lost a once great discipline, our science, humanity’s science, not the scientists who studied, had the smarts to spend time in an age old discipline, ostensibly working for the betterment of humanity… stolen it’s been by a small group of filth, to truly loathsome sociopaths, comprising the detritus of humanity… taken from us, a discipline, for which faith rightly so and after this horror show is and should be spurned, shunned, never trusted again…

The power is in you… use it… is all I can say … just saying mate, musing aloud, well in writing, you know, the old if I were you …. get on with it Alex, make the call, get your ass in front of the right people… add your voice… from my perspective as a layperson, that is a hill well worth dying upon… Kia Kaha from New Zealand

I agree with other comments in that Congress doesn't want the truth. They always have an already decided agenda when it comes to matters like this.

Senator Johnson is one of the few that has had honest committees on matters like this. Rand Paul also has exposed Fauci in his lies. I would coordinate with them in getting your voice to be louder and call out the testimony that uses their own team to hide their crimes.

Watching the back is the real struggle here. There’s currently zero career benefit for speaking up like this, in large part because the levers of academic power are still in control by people who don’t want me to share honest scientific perspectives due to the consequences of the truth. Fingers crossed doing the right thing pays off here.

Alex, it’s likely that by publishing the above opinion on Substack you have already pushed the boat out into the raging torrent and essentially committed career suicide. So perhaps your real choice now is either move forward - or drown.

To give you confidence I would encourage you to believe firstly that you are on the right side of history, and secondly that you are not alone.

Have confidence that the forces of good expressed through those doctors, scientists, and academics who have raised their heads above the parapet to fight the self serving evil you describe will also support and sustain you. The strength and courage to exercise moral choice comes from a place you need to actively seek out, but once found it will become a maintaining force in your life and won’t desert you.

By way of encouragement you will notice Alex that many of the comments here are deep and emotional, reflecting the depth and heartfelt (Soulfelt) emotion you express through your posts. There are people out here like you. Know that we feel you and we support you.

On reflection your post reads like a draft job application. Perhaps you need to give yourself permission to submit that application, so the Universe can begin to employ your unique combination of skills and experience in this fight for the survival of Science, and perhaps even Humanity. You strike me as someone who has good judgement so start small and take it a step at a time.

To paraphrase Goethe, once you make a positive decision the Universe sends circumstances and assistance that could not have been dreamed of. There is Life on the other side of the torrent.

This comment could not have found me at a more perfect time. I’m at a crossroads, wondering which way to go. I’ve found a new career that I sincerely believe can allow me to make the world a better place, but I’m also hearing echoes from this unfinished business of COVID origins calling me back into the public domain. I’ll write more, give the boat a proper captain as it takes on the rapids below, but hopefully in a way that opens more & bigger doors than it closes, that builds more bridges than it burns.

I’m pleased my post, which was as heart-felt as yours, made an incremental difference to your current thinking.

As this was useful I hope you don’t mind me respectfully observing that I have previously noted in your writings on Substack and posts Twitter that you present with what I would describe as a dispositional reluctance to engage, and in many cases a desire to withdraw.

I appreciate here are obvious practical explanations for this observed trait - instinctive caution / avoiding painful conflict / preserving personal energy / shielding a gentle heart / saving your career etc. If however it is based on an anticipatory anxiety that you will be unable to deliver I would just encourage you to find an experienced Homeopath as there is at least one remedy I can think of which can give strength and fortitude to a corn stalk that sways in the wind.

In the meantime here is that full saying from Goethe to inspire and give you confidence.

Thank you for the kind words and motivational, inspirational quote.

My reluctance to engage comes from having a job that I really love providing a unique opportunity to do great things for the world if I apply my time and attention to scientific tasks ahead. There are antimicrobial-resistant bacterial infections on the rise that I may be able to help treat, AI products for analyzing biological data that I may be able to commercialize, and books I may be able to write if I make the time for it. The COVID origins snowball has overcome inertia of several scientists trying to stop it and now it’s rolling down the hill, gaining momentum with little I can do to change its course. Our research has made a difference and now what remains is a great deal of politics, legal battles, and other war zones where elegant science isn’t likely to flower but rather requires thorns to avoid being trampled. I don’t think the scientific pugilism required to stay in this battle will make me happier in the long run, nor will it allow me to do the greatest good I can for the world.

There are other scientific snowballs waiting for someone to give them a boost. I’m happy being an upstream causative force that does good without requiring recognition for downstream events, so insofar as I can see a means of effecting positive change, however indirect, distant, and unattributable that may be to my own efforts, I’m eager to devote my time and effort towards the greatest changes I can make. Even if nobody remembers my name a decade after I die, there’s a legacy where our causative ripples become waves, and I’m hoping to make waves in other arenas.

The content and subject matter given your PhD qualifications, I’m sure you will instantly recognise and feel familiar with, further and given your past comments it is my belief that you will add and contribute much needed assistance to the investigative work presently ongoing before both houses the U.S Congress.. dealing with just some of the following issues namely….

Dr. Morens’s evasion of public testimony “appears to be a poorly veiled attempt to protect Dr. Fauci, insulate him from the actions the Select Subcommittee is investigating, and obstruct the Select Subcommittee’s investigation,” wrote Chairman Wenstrup in a subpoena cover letter to Dr. Morens.

This is the second subpoena the Select Subcommittee has announced for Dr. David Morens. The first subpoena compelled Dr. Morens to produce documents from his personal email account(s) related to the origins of COVID-19 after repeated allegations that he violated federal records keeping laws.

Background:

In June 2023, the Select Subcommittee released a batch of emails in which Dr. Morens appears to hide COVID-19 information. Dr. Morens wrote, “I always try to communicate over gmail because my NIH email is FOIA’d constantly” and “I will delete anything I don’t want to see in the New York Times.”

After receiving a letter from the Select Subcommittee detailing Dr. Morens’s potential federal records violation, the NIH placed him on administrative leave.

In October 2023, Chairman Wenstrup announced a subpoena for NIH records related to Dr. Morens’s potential federal records violation. NIH conducted an internal investigation into Dr. Morens’s suspicious actions but refused to share relevant findings with the American people or Congress.

In November 2023, EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak appeared for a transcribed interview — during which he called Dr. Morens a “mentor.”

In December 2023, Dr. Morens was scheduled to appear for a transcribed interview. The Department of Health and Human Services derailed the transcribed interview after they prohibited Dr. Morens from answering any questions about the origins of COVID-19.

In January 2024, Dr. Morens appeared for a transcribed interview — after which Chairman Wenstrup vowed to receive access to Dr. Morens’s personal email account. Key takeaways from the transcribed interview can be found here.

In April 2024, the Select Subcommittee revealed new information from a whistleblower that appeared to provide further evidence of Dr. Morens intentionally subverting federal transparency laws to shield discussions related to the origins of COVID-19. The next day, EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak released four document tranches that confirmed the whistleblower’s allegations.

Also in April 2024, Chairman Wenstrup announced the first subpoena to Dr. Morens that compelled him to produce documents from his personal email account(s) related to the origins of COVID-19….

Personally and per my initial reply posted in response your last Substack, I urge you, if you have not already done so, to make yourself available and to assist/appear before the committees in question.

I have not yet read more than 20% of Ralph Baric's testimony, which is in a much more readable form in the PDF at: https://vitamindstopscovid.info/07-origins/#baric . Nor have I yet properly read this article by Alex Washburne.

Nor have I yet attempted to properly read this article by Jim Haslam https://jimhaslam.substack.com/p/whats-in-your-freezer-dr-baric/. Jim tries to keep a track of all matters arising from the COVID-19 origins debates, investigations, FOI revelations and coverups.

However, I suggest that anyone interested in these matters would find this article by Jim Haslam and the comments which follow it of great interest.

As best I understand it, he is arguing that Ralph Baric, in 2024-01-22 testimony, the transcript of which was released just over a week ago, contains a statement which reveals something about Baric Lab genetic techniques which was not previously known via any publicly available document, and that this revelation fits with an element of the Bruttel et al. article in a way which can be used to argue even more strongly for Baric Lab involvement in the creation of the virus which led directly or indirectly, (such as after modest changes, perhaps in that lab, perhaps in Wuhan and/or perhaps due to natural mutations in the lab and/or after escape) to the version(s?) of SARS-CoV-2 which caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you for covering the hearings. I can hardly keep up with the specific statistical analysis and citations but it is so important that you are doing it. Numbers are the key as you said, and I have no doubt you'd welcome anyone anywhere to rebut or pick apart your arguments. I'd imagine that in a true, end-all-be-all debate, it could take hours and hours of back and forth to hammer out every detail. But you can tell how much someone wants the truth from their willingness to stick with the arguments until the end. You are clearly motivated to follow up on every detail, and the world deserves to hear this all play out.

Alex, as usual when I read your writings it’s full of passion, angst, frustration and so deeply heart felt. My eyes always tear up. You are not alone. Other scientists and doctors are expressing frustration with the same bullshit you are experiencing. Kevin McKernan who worked on the genome project gets frustrated with scientists who are not doing the right tests only tests that confirm whatever their stance is. Kevin is a stand up guy. Jessica Rose who is going through the same bullshit having had a peer reviewed paper retracted she is extremely bright , Byram Bridle vaccinologist here in Canada at the university of Guelph got booted out of his lab where his research is for not going along with the “acceptable narrative.” Martin Kulldorff biostatistician was let go from Standford. Norman Fenton British mathematician and computer scientist gets censored regularly. Professor Brigitte Koenig was harassed badly for speaking out. Reaching out to each other (what a hugely talented pool ) the camaraderie would be soothing to the soul. Ethical people do exist.

Surely congress is aware of the untrustworthy nature of these people they are questioning. It has to be frustrating to them not knowing the subject. Who to believe? Or is it all smoke and mirrors? I don’t understand all of this subterfuge concerning the origins and the vaccine injuries. Some very powerful entity seems to be running the show. Pharma has their dirty talons inserted everywhere, funding the FDA, CDC, Health Canada etc. etc. I am concerned that the engineered virus was used in the “vaccines.” Maybe partly responsible for the duel cover ups.

For me these last three years has exposed the deep corruption that exists in the institutions which supposedly worked to protect the public but sadly don’t. I’m concerned for our society with all of these self interested people being in positions of authority and power. How they live with themselves is beyond my comprehension.
