This is a delightful introduction, and I will certainly subscribe. I did my PhD with Maggie, double majoring in botany and forestry. I was a forestry and plant physiology prof at the University of Kentucky and simultaneously at universities in Indonesia and Malaysia. I eventually shifted to international higher ed. Now, after surviving a brain tumor, I write books and teach informal field courses. I will launch my Substack next week.

love this1...you have "profound hearing loss"....i am "legally blind"...i don't exactly know what "illegally blind" is....but i'm probably that, too....i ran across u on twitter...w/ a shared friend, jay bhattacharya...blessings, friend, the sky is vast, the waters deep....seed the quantum field

My son introduced me to your Twitter account. Your work is very interesting. In addition to your work, your profound hearing loss was of interest to me as I am an ASL interpreter. Did you use interpreters through your education?
