One of the best written scientific articles I have come across in the recent times. Great work Alex.

Good analysis. Having read a few others, the conclusion seems irrefutable. Having read The Real Anthony Fauci, the proposition that the US CDC or NAIAD commissioned and supervised the WIV work and bear a significant share of the responsibility for lab protocols and therefore leak, might suggest a US-China agreement to stay schtum about origins and data.

Another aspect is the project had become militarised by the CCP and PLA during latter parts of 2019. Not necessarily for bioweapons research, but simply because it was being ratcheted up and blindingly obvious as getting more dangerous. The Seeker has documented various much increased tenders for biosafety throughout 2019, and Intelligence community has noted the increased presence or involvement of PLA at WIV ("they were working in the same fricking space").

The outcome of this being the WIV database taken off-line in Sep2019 due to the project being militarised, and no hope at all of any of this now classified data being released by the government.

Thanks for this important work - citing and arguing respectfully against the key articles which support the hypothesis which competes with the one you support.

I wrote to the corresponding authors of the three articles you cited:

"Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 in the environment and animal samples of the Huanan Seafood Market"

George Gao et al. Preprint 2022-02-25 https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-1370392/v1

"The molecular epidemiology of multiple zoonotic origins of SARS-CoV-2" Jonathan E. Pekar et al. Science 2022-07-26 https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abp8337

"The Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan was the early epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic" Michael Worobey et al. Science 2022-07-26 https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abp8715

pointing them to this article and urging them to respond with similar scientific generosity and rigour.

I also sent them a pep talk on the immune system's critical need for at least 50 ng/mL circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D - which is 2 to 10 times what most people have if they are not supplementing vitamin D3 properly: https://vitamindstopscovid.info/00-evi/ Such levels would suppress symptoms and average rates of viral shedding so much that the original SARS-CoV-2 virus - and probably all the current variants - would not be transmitted at pandemic levels in the general population, and would result in much reduced harm and death among those infected than is currently the case.

'...which appear to a reader in the field (me) as desperate attempts to close the book that I now want to open more than ever.'

What a great rephrasing of the Streisand Effect.

People have to understand the larger rationale for bioweapons. In the ridiculous game of destructive geopolitics, they do have a purpose. Mores the pity. https://empathy.guru/2022/03/15/the-memetics-of-bioweapons-and-why-they-matter/

Thank you for this work Alex.

It's vital that we get to the bottom of the origin issue.

Animal origin would have required an animal solution, in addition to a human solution.

We are so collectively stupid.

Love what you do fella. Someone has got to ask the right questions in all of this, and I think you are it. Covid was such a harmful evolutionary jump it may as well have come from another planet. Oh wait, it did... China.

The "there is no evidence" line is an elementary fallacy. It is a trick or throw away line use by most people. Just cause because there was no evidence of a burglar does not imply there was no burglary! Or evidence of burglary. Pros don't leave trace behind.
